The Prison Life, The Good Life.

Life can be so oppressing. You work hard to provide for you family and yourself. You struggle with taxes, mortgage, and income. You pay for schooling for your children all throughout their lives till they finally graduate from college. if you want to have a good life, to have a home, food, and clothes, you spend all your time away from it earning money to pay for all of it.

What about the bums on the street? You don't want to end up like them with decaying clothes, health and life. No! They have nothing and their lives seem worthless. The only thing they can do with themselves for survival and to get money is to beg. How would you like to lower yourself down to that level? to be nothing better than the dirt under peoples feet? The decrepit conditions of the beggars usually makes people turn away from them and not even offer them any money. Yet, there is a way out, for them and for you.

Crime. Crime is a huge problem in all countries. People are killed, raped and stolen from every day. We see this as unacceptable in society. To try and stop the problem, we lock the perpetrators up in jail. Yet looking at the living conditions of these criminals, can't we see that this "punishment" is really a benefit for them? It's an escape from their worthless struggle for life, that harsh reality they face every day. Life attacks you from all sides; it doesn't matter if you're filthy rich or stinking poor. No one can truly enjoy coping with life.

Now let's think about it: in prison, you get your own room with bed, a bathroom, and possibly even a friend! These rooms have excellent space and lighting. Why would you want to be living in a house where the AC is running all year long, sucking your electricity and putting you in freezing conditions? In prison, you get to stay warm in the summer and not have to pay any electricity bills. During the winter, the air is crisp and cool in your room. Once outside, you have plenty to do to keep you warm.

In prison, there are physical activities everyday. You can enjoy the outdoors while doing great services for your country. There are plenty of other workers to help you work and companions to play sports with. You can also relax with your friends, or work out. Working out is an everyday priority. In no time, you'll be in tiptop shape! When it comes to fashion, you'll always be in trend. Everyone always wears the same style of clothing and whenever the prison style changes, everyone will get a new set of clothes for the new fashion season.

Now, you and I both know buying groceries to carry back home and prepare a meal is a hard enough job in itself. But the fact that it probably won't last as long as it took to make and you probably won't even be appreciated for all your hard work and effort really makes cooking torture. It's not even a weekly or monthly thing but it happens three times a day. In prison however, you can look forward to the sweet memories of cafeteria-style buffet food. No cooking needed, no hassle, it's all laid out in front of you to enjoy. What could be better?

In prison, you can also work on your education since you now have all the time in the world. You can read books you never got a chance to, have your own alone time, and just sit back and relax. At home, you would have to work, taking care of the kids, cleaning and cooking or out at the office day after day. You never get a chance to just get away. In prison, if you're feeling up to some fun, just go to the recreational room. There’s plenty to do! You can simply be with friends, enjoy a game of snooker, watch TV or do whatever you want.

So why would you want to continue living the way you are, trapped in a hectic, stressful, mundane life? Why would you cater to others needs, never getting a chance to stop and help yourself? Why when it’s so easy to break a jewelry store window, grab some precious gems and run, run into a new life, a blissful life free from worry, where you can do your own thing at your own pace. The prison life is the good life.
